Montserrat exhibits 150 donations out of the 10,000 received over the last decade
The museum's Daura Room hosts works ranging from Gothic art to 20th-century figurative painting
Donations 2012-2022 aims to be a expression of "gratitude" to all the individuals and institutions that have entrusted their works to Montserrat, as well as to Josep de Calassanç Laplana, who led the museum for 44 years. "Everything in the Museum of Montserrat could not be understood without Laplana's work," emphasized the current director of the institution, Xavier Caballé, during the inauguration. In this regard, he recalled that ten years ago a first retrospective exhibition of donations was presented with works received between 2000 and 2012, and now a second exhibition has been organized with donations from the last decade.
